Hello, welcome, and thanks for taking the time to check out my site! I am a 38 year old CrossFit athlete, scientist and mother of two kids (4- and 2-years old)! As a life-long athlete, I took up soccer and basketball at age 5 and played competitive soccer through college. As a scientist, I earned my Ph.D. in Molecular Metabolism and Nutrition and I have extensive training in the field of diabetes research and exercise physiology. I have been a CrossFit athlete since November 2017 and have been obsessed with all things related since that time. My goals with this site are straightforward:
1) Provide summaries of the latest, cutting edge scientific research regarding training and nutrition for women in everyday language.
2) Share my experiences as a developing CrossFit athlete: what techniques am I working on? What sites/tips/info have I found useful for: developing skills, technique, understanding nutrition/supplements?
3) Share my experiences balancing everyday life as a Mom and CrossFit athlete.
